Semifinal matches are completed in TEB BNP Paribas İstanbul Cup and players who are going to play in the finale is determined: Urszlua Radwanska-Lesia Tsurenko
First match of semifinals is played between Urszula Radwanska and Magdalena Rybarikova. Rybarikova was the better player in the beginning. Breaking the serve of Radwanska, Rybarikova took the lead early: 3-1. Putting more pressure in the game, Radwanska broke her opponent’s serve 3 times in a row to win the 6-3.
Once more, Rybarikova started to the second set better than Urszula did. Taking benefits from Radwanska’s unforced errors, Magdalena tied the sets at 1-1 by winning the second set 6-3.
Both players broke each other’s serves to begin the third set. This time, Radwanska made less unforced errors in the final set. Especially, Polish tennis player’s serves were very effective. After 2 hours and 23 minutes, she became the first finalist of the tournament.
In the second semifinal match, Lesia Tsurenko won the first set that lasted 1 hour and 21 minutes, 6-4. In the second set Flipkens took an early lead by 2-1; however, Tsurenko came back and won 5 games in a row to win the set 6-2 and move to the first WTA final in her career.
