Turkish local hero Cagla Buyukakcay overwhelmed with her unfamiliar success in Istanbul Cup. But she’s saying much more than from this…

TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Cup finalist Cagla Buyukakcay warmly welcomed by local journalists in press interview room after her dream semi-final win over Swisswoman Stefanie Vögele. She’s looking joyful but not so much satisfied with this historic win. She said “I’m not done yet. Still have one match. I’m waiting for tomorrow. But I’m not thinking about pressure anymore specifically. Of course tomorrow, i have something to lose before the match, but i’m not focusing on it. I’m focusing on to play for fun little bit”.

Buyukakcay didn’t know anything about her amazing serve performance – she dropped only three times on her second serve! – against Vögele while she’s on court, saying “I’m never expected this figures of course. I have no idea what’s the percentage is during the play. But now, you said it’s 94 percent. It’s very rare happened things in tennis, i mean. Very surprised.”

Other finalist, Montenegrin Danka Kovinic also made a presser after his straight sets win over Kateryna Kozlova. Kovinic “I’m happy with my performance today. Actually i’m tired little bit, but i managed the closed out. I’m also happy with my position for Olympic qualification is strenghtened with this win. That’s important for me, because I’m coming from small country.”

Kovinic said she knows very well tomorrow’s opponent Cagla Buyukakcay and added “She is very close friend of me. We’re practising time to time. We know very well each other. Now we’re playing front of crazy crowd. Let’s we’ll see what’s happens.”
